- Full name and usual address
- Death certificate or interim death certificate (scan or photograph)
- A piece of photographic ID, such as a passport of driving licence, to upload and verify your identity. (scan or photograph)
How to Notify M&S Savings & Investments of a Bereavement

What documentation will I need to notify M&S Savings & Investments?
M&S Savings & Investments will ask you to give the following information:
- The account number and type of account
- Full details of the deceased, including their date of birth and possibly their National Insurance number
- Contact details for the person dealing with the Estate – if this is not you, please ensure that you have their permission to give their details
What happens next?
M&S Savings & Investments will inform all parts of M&S Bank, so you won’t need to inform all of them individually. They’ll also keep you informed as to where they are within their process.
