What documentation will you need to notify Furness Building Society of a death

Furness Building Society requires you to provide the following:

The original or a certified copy of the Death Certificate, if you do not have this you can submit a Coroner’s Certificate

What happens next?

Once you have notified Furness Building Society of the death they will freeze any sole accounts and funds will be released once a settlement has been made. Joint accounts will stay active and will be transferred into the sole name of the surviving partner. Should Clydesdale Bank require further information from you, they will contact you.
