What information will you need to report a death to Manchester Building Society?

You will need the following information to tell Manchester Building Society of a death:

  • Grant of Probate or Letters of Administration
  • The death certificate, original or certified copy

What Happens Next?

Any sole accounts will automatically be blocked until all documents have been seen by Manchester Building Society. If the account was in joint names, once they have received formal notification, they will arrange for the account to be transferred to the surviving partner.
