What Documentation will you need to notify Spark Energy of a Death?

Spark Energy requires you to supply the following:

  • A certified copy of the Death Certificate
  • Depending on the circumstances you may be required to provide further documentation, if this is the case, Spark Energy will advise you.

What Happens Next?

Once you have notified Spark Energy of the death, they will take care of the rest for you. Following the delivery of the Death Certificate, they will waive the early termination fee for the account to be closed. Should they require further information, they will contact you at a time convenient to you.
