What documentation do you require to register a death with abrdn (Aberdeen Standard Investments)?

You can notify abrdn (Aberdeen Standard Investments) of a death by sending an original death certificate and a cover letter including the account number, the name and address of the person who has died and your contact details to –  Aberdeen Standard Fund Managers Ltd, PO Box 12233, Chelmsford, Essex CM99 2EE.

  • 6-digit reference number, and the name on the account and type of account
  • Full details of the deceased, including their death certificate
  • Details of the person who is dealing with the Estate – if this is not you, ensure that you have their permission to pass on their details
