How do I notify the AA Breakdown Service of a death?
The AA Breakdown Service can be contacted in a number of ways:

An alternative would be to register the death within Life Ledger, and allow us to make the notification for you. After completing a short ID verification process, and uploading a copy of the death certificate, you are able to complete the details needed by the AA Breakdown Service. Once done, press send, and the notification has been completed.
But you don’t have to just inform the AA. If you have other companies to notify, then you can continue adding details for those as well. And you can either press send after each, or wait until you have entered all of their details and then Send All. It’s so much quicker and simpler than having to research each and every one, and then actually make the notification. There is no limit to the number you can send, so go ahead.
What information do I need to inform the AA of a death?
You should ensure that you have the following information when you contact them:
- Their membership number
- Vehicle registration number
- Email address associated with the membership
- If you are closing the membership, please give details of the person dealing with the Estate, remembering that if it’s not you to get their permission before doing so
- If you are switching the membership to someone else, you will need to give their full details, again if it’s not you remember to get their permission before doing so

The AA Breakdown Service will keep you informed as to what is going to happen, and where they are within their processes.
