What documentation do you require to register a death with Barclays?

You will need to have the following information to hand when telling Barclays of a death:

Proof of Death
Proof of your Identity
A closure form
Grant of Probate or Letters of Administration

What Happens Next?

Once you have notified Barclays of a death, they will stop all communications to the account holder, freeze any accounts in their name, and cancel all Direct Debits and standing orders.
