We are so very sorry, so let us help in a practical way
Everything seems so hard right now, and the grief is almost overwhelming. Some moments are better than others, but still it hurts. And if it’s overwhelming emotionally, realising just how much admin there is to do makes it even more so. Life Ledger knows, and we are here to help you. You came to find out how to notify Starbucks Rewards of a death, so let’s begin with them:
How do I notify Starbucks Rewards of a death?
There is actually no need to contact them. The balance can be transferred, but at present balance transfers are only available with the Mobile App. To transfer the balance, both cards need to be registered to you, so do this and then select “Manage” and “Transfer Balance” to do this.
However, if you do not have access to the mobile app, you should contact Customer Services in the ways listed below:
- Call them on 020 8834 5050
- Email them at ukinfo@starbucks.com
- Or write to them at
Starbucks Coffee Company
Building 4 Chiswick Park
566 Chiswick High Road
London W4 5YE
There is another way: register the death within Life Ledger, and allow us to make the notification. You will need to complete an ID verification process for yourself, and upload a copy of the death certificate. Answer some questions regarding the account with Starbucks Rewards, and when ready press send. Notification is done.
That was easy and can be just as easy for the multiple other companies who have to be informed. You only have to verify your ID the once, after this you can just enter as many notifications as you need. There is no limit to the number you can enter through the site.
What information do I need to notify Starbucks Rewards of a death?
Card number and email address associated with the account, as well as your own card number and email address if transferring the balance to yourself. At present balance transfers are only available with the Mobile App. To transfer the balance, both cards need to be registered to you; select “Manage” and “Transfer Balance” to do this.
However, if you do not have access to the mobile app, you should contact Customer Services on the number above. If you merely want to delete all personal information and no longer participate in the Starbucks Rewards Program, you will need to complete their online form.
What happens next?
If you have completed their online form, you can expect it to take up to 30 days from their receipt of the form.
But that isn’t the end of, as obviously you will have a lot of other things to do. Life Ledger is aware that many of us find this time very confusing. Mainly because we don’t know what we are doing. That is why we created a guide that gives step-by-step points as to what needs to be done. In this way, you can see clearly where you are and what you have left to complete.
The biggest hurdle you face is trying to notify the companies of your loss. It can be hard enough researching how to contact each, without then struggling to actually contact them. Which of course is where Life Ledger truly comes into its own. With there not being a limit on the number of notifications that can be done through the site, and with the service being free to use, there is no reason why you shouldn’t use it.
You will give yourself peace of mind that one major step is taken care of, and more time to spend doing other more important things.
